2011-2012 Middle School Day: 7:55am - 2:55pm * new time
Parents FYI:
SAFETY ISSUE: For the safety of our students please refrain from dropping off your child/children on Bronk Road. Please use the circle drive in front of the school. Thank you.
"VIRTUAL BACKPACK" FLIER SYSTEM: District 202 is "going green" - and saving "green" for staff and the community - by changing the way it distributes materials from outside organizations to students and staff. This fall, District 202 will implement a "Virtual Backpack" material distribution system that will let parents view, download and print fliers from non-profit organizations through the Internet. District 202 disseminates fliers for non-profit organizations as a service to the community. Families without computers are encouraged to visit a local library to view fliers through the new online system. Hard copies will also still be available in schools' main offices, and posted on Community Bulletin Boards in each school for those families without Internet access. For more information please visit the district website (
www.psd202.org), click on "Community" and then on "Distribution of Materials".
ATTENDANCE: When a student is absent, a call should be made by the student's parent or guardian to the school office to report the absence and the reason. Calls to report absences should be made by 9:00 AM @ 815-439-3410 x625555. Please see page 4 of the Agenda Book for the Attendance Policy
DRESS CODE: Students need to dress appropriately for school. Please see Page 25 of the Agenda Book (listed under Level 1 - Attire Violations) for school appropriate clothing.
REMINDER for Bus Riders: For safety and security reasons, except in a highly unusual circumstance or in an emergency situation, students WILL NOT be allowed to ride an alternate bus to or from school. Students who are transported to/from a bus stop other than their assigned stop must have a parent/guardian signed Transportation Request form for the current school year on file at the Plainfield School District Transportation Office, located at 500 West Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield, IL (815) 436-7800. Copies of the Transportation Request form are available in each school office or at the Administration Center. Requests received by the District Transportation Office will become effective within three school days. Questions concerning bus transportation should be directed first to First Student Education Services (815) 436-3700 or SEPTRAN (630) 357-1070, the Plainfield School District's contracted transportation service, then to the building assistant principal, and then to the Transportation Office at 436-7800. (This information is also listed on page 17 of your student's agenda book)
REMINDER: Items such as MP3 players, Cameras, or handheld gaming systems, etc., may only be brought to school with the permission of a staff member. Cell phones may not be used during the school day. All electronic devices, including cell phones, must be powered off and stored in the student's locker. Misuse of any electronic device may result in confiscation of the item for parent/guardian pick-up. (This information is also listed on page 26 of your student's agenda book under Electronic Devices)
